In order to produce these scarves, the woven alpaca is handcut and machine sewn by Andean artisans.
The alpaca fiber is blended and spun with a high-quality acrylic wool** in order to produce a woven textile that is lightweight, extra soft, very warm, and durable. Ideal for taking a walk in the open air. **The artisans use a blend of 27% Alpaca and 73% high quality-extremely thin Acrylic. It is extremely soft and fells very nice. The product is an excellent example of what can be done with alpaca fibre and how can it be blended with other fibres. The scarves also have a Brushed finish and Hand-crocheted borders. The scarves can also be used as a decorative runner of tablecloth thanks to their length and texture. |
